The public danger or emergency arises from a series of severe storms and extensive flooding which occurred beginning July 17, 2026, with continued impacts affecting the Cincinnati community. Numerous properties within Cincinnati have been affected by this historic weather event, causing catastrophic flooding and water damage to homes, businesses, vehicles, and other property. Subsequent storms and rainfall on July 19 and 21, 2026 worsened the region’s flooding and damage to public infrastructure, transportation corridors, utilities, and stormwater systems across numerous Cincinnati neighborhoods. Damage assessment, response, and clean-up are continuing for City agencies and residents, and the full assessment and restoration processes will be ongoing.
