MOTION, dated 09/07/2021, submitted by Councilmember Keating, As the Administration moves forward with traffic calming measures and infrastructure updates within the city, WE MOVE for the administration to investigate new sustainable infrastructure innovations that provide storm water management through absorption and flow control including (but not limited to) the utilization and implementation of soil cells, urban watersheds, urban rain gardens, bioretention, and permeable pavement. As we continue to see heavy rains and continuous flooding, impacting our residents and businesses, we need to find ways to take the pressure off our storm sewers. WE FURTHER MOVE for the administration to provide a cost analysis with these options to show if a bigger investment in green infrastructure now may save more money than the money spent on aftermath of storms including cleanup efforts, claims and settlements and the utilization of other city resources that are needed in response to flooding/back...
