Title: MOTION, submitted by Councilmember Pastor, WE MOVE that the City Administration make mental health a funding priority within the upcoming budget discussions for FY 2020. WE FURTHER MOVE that the City Administration offer a report the current status of the Mental Health Responses Team (MHRT) within the Cincinnati Police Department (CPD) to better understand the Team's role and purpose with regard to mental health within the City of Cincinnati. Specifically, looking at how the Team works to prevent potential violent encounters with individuals facing mental illness and how mentally ill individuals who commit crimes are treated within the system in terms of availability to treatment. WE FURTHER MOVE that the City Administration provide a report of the current spending directed for the purposes of mental health within the City of Cincinnati.
