| 1 | | Motion | MOTION, submitted by Councilmember Flynn, that the City Solicitor draft an amendment to the ordinance 0239-2009 of September 2, 2009 which created the Cincinnati Accessibility Board of Advisors ("CABA") to expand the number of positions on the board from a maximum of eleven (11) persons, so long as the number of people who are disabled shall be the majority. FURTHER MOVE that the City Administration consult with CABA and utilize CABA to ensure equal access to goods and services. FURTHER MOVE that the City Solicitor draft an amendment to the ordinance that created the Economic Inclusion Department, to broaden its purview to include support for persons with disabilities, as defined under federal law, and to amend existing City ordinances, rules, and regulations, to require the Economic Inclusion Department to seek out businesses owned by persons with disabilities an to include, as an aspirational goal, the awarding of 1% of the City's contracts with outside companies to businesses owned by persons with disabilities and to report upon the success of those goals.
