| 1 | | Motion | MOTION, submitted by Councilmember Sittenfeld, WE MOVE that Pedestrian Safety is a top priority for the City of Cincinnati; and WE MOVE that the Administration provided a report in 2016 in response to Motion #201600165 asking for the Administration's documentation of the most dangerous crosswalks, intersections and thoroughfares; and WE MOVE that in addition to the information from the report, there have been several high-profile pedestrian fatalities in Cincinnati neighborhoods in 2016 including in Northside and Oakley, bringing the number of pedestrian/bicycle fatalities since January 2014 to 14; and WE MOVE that this issue impacts all ages - from school children to elderly and every age and demographic in between; and WE MOVE that solutions to improved pedestrian safety require investments in all three of the "Es" - Education, Enforcement and Engineering; and WE MOVE that the Administration's report identifies certain target areas and engineering safety improvements that could be impactful; and WE MOVE that the Administration consider an allocation of one-time capital funding reso | Adopt | |
