| 1 | | Motion | MOTION, submitted by Councilmember Flynn, WE Move, upon enactment of HB195, the accessible taxi cab legislation ("HB195") by the State of Ohio, that the City Solicitor's office provide an ordinance to Council requiring that persons or entities holding City of Cincinnati taxi cab licenses pursuant to Chapter 407 of the Cincinnati Municipal Code, purchase or otherwise obtain wheelchair accessible taxi cabs ('WAV Taxis") pursuant to the requirements contained in the Americans with Disabilities Act("ADA") and it's implementing rules and regulations, according to the following schedule: - License holders with 10 or more licenses must have at least one WAV Taxi by the end of calendar year 2018; - License holder with five or more licenses must have at least one WAV Taxi by the end of calendar year 2019; - License holders with four or fewer licenses must make the next vehicle obtained by such License holder a WAV Taxi.
