| 1 | | Motion | MOTION (AMENDED), submitted by Councilmembers Landsman, Dennard, Young, Sittenfeld, Seelbach and Pastor, Cincinnati has one of the highest rates of poverty in the country, and far too many of our children and families are suffering. Many cities have taken significant steps to better support children and families, through strategic partnerships, investments, and leadership (usually by way of an Office for Children and Families). To take meaningful steps toward real action on behalf of our children and families, WE MOVE that the Administration establish for Council and the Mayor a "Children and Families" Budget detailing our current investments in city-funded programs and projects that directly or indirectly support children and or families. This should be done as part of the budget process so that we, and the community, can better understand where we are investing now and where we are now.
