| 1 | | Motion | MOTION, submitted by Councilmembers Dennard, Seelbach, Mann, Landsman and Young, I MOVE that the administration draft a joint report within the next 60 days from the Department of Buildings & Inspections, the Department of Community & Economic Development, the Office of Environment & Sustainability and other relevant departments on what current practices and activities exist to incentivize the repurposing of city facilities and buildings to combat the homelessness. I MOVE that the administration find budget neutral solutions, when possible, as well as explore and propose public-private partnerships. Please see backup attached outlining policy recommendations for the City of Los Angeles - a metro area of much larger size that, however faces many of the same issues as the City of Cincinnati as it relates to homelessness and a general lack of supply in affordable housing. | Adopt | |
