Determining the number of new rifles and ballistic shields that are needed; and 2.) Determining the number of bullet-proof upgrades as they relate to police and fire facilities; and 3.) Providing additional information on the costs of bullet-proofing police and fire division buildings; and 4.) Determining additional technology and assets needed to combat this new criminal element that is targeting police officers and making our community unsafe; and 5.) Identify new non-uniform personnel needs for police and fire departments. 6.) Determine number of police cruisers not fitted with rifles and/or ballistic shields.
