| 1 | | Statement | STATEMENT, (DISSENT) submitted by Councilmember Flynn, on 10/26/2016, Dissent filed pursuant to Rule of Council 6.9. On October 19, 2016 Council adopted Ordinance 327-2016 concerning benches at transit stops. The vote was 8 to 1 in favor of the ordinance. I was the one negative vote. I am filing this dissent to respectfully express my concerns over the passage of the enacted Ordinance. It is important to note that I am not opposed to benches at bus stops but the adopted ordinance has flaws and there was a lack of consideration of other important factors.
