| 1 | | Statement | STATEMENT, (DISSENT) dated 4/5/2017 submitted by Councilmember Flynn, On March 29, 2017 Council adopted ordinances with document numbers 201700437 and 201700511 concerning the appropriation of $2 million of city funding to the Port Authority of Greater Cincinnati to tear down the old Hudepohl brewery on a 1.6 acre piece of land. The votes were 8 to 1 in favor of the ordinances. I was the one negative vote. I am filing this dissent to respectfully express my concerns over the passage of the ordinances. While I understand the need to remove this blighted buildings from the Queensgate landscape, I have serious concerns about the funding and the process by which this is occurring.
