| 1 | | Motion | MOTION, submitted by Councilmembers Mann, Young, Dennard, Seelbach and Landsman, WE MOVE that the administration report on its compliance with section 7 of the Fair Labor Standards Act as amended by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L. 111-148), which requires employers to designate a space other than a bathroom that is shielded from view and free from intrusion from coworkers and the public and may be used by an employee to express breast milk; WE FURTHER MOVE that the administration report on its existing policies and any improvements it can reasonably make upon them to ensure that public meetings are child-friendly, such as providing childcare for meetings where a large turnout is expected or setting aside a corner of the public meeting room and providing books and toys so they can quietly occupy themselves; WE FURTHER MOVE that the administration install diaper changing tables in the men's and women's restrooms on the third floor of City Hall.
