ORDINANCE submitted by Sheryl M. M. Long, City Manager, on 8/3/2026, AUTHORIZING the City Manager to apply for, accept, and appropriate a grant of up to $16,094,708 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, FY 2025 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Program (ALN 97.083) to fund the salary and benefits of up to fifty fire recruits in the Cincinnati Fire Department for three years; and AUTHORIZING the Director of Finance to deposit the grant funds into Fire Grants and Donations Fund 472, revenue account no. 472x8542.
